Computer-aided engineering (CAE) is the use of computer software to simulate performance in order to improve product designs or assist in the resolution of engineering problems for a wide range of industries. This includes simulation, validation and optimization of products, processes, and manufacturing tools.
Numerical methods Optimisation
Numerical analysis is needed to solve engineering problems that lead to equations that cannot be solved analytically with simple formulas. Examples are solutions of large systems of algebraic equations, evaluation of integrals, and solution of differential equations. Optimization is one of the important stages of the engineering design process, various optimization techniques have become increasingly important and popular in different engineering applications.
